Dr. Sashidhar Ganta

For more than two decades, Dr. Ganta has advanced minimally invasive bariatric care in Central Texas. His experience spans over 6,000 bariatric patients, Yale fellowship training, and a focus on advanced bariatric surgery and complex revisions.
Dr. Ganta brought the first gastric sleeve, duodenal switch, and gastric plication procedures to Central Texas. He went on to perform Texas’s first single-incision LAP-BAND through the umbilicus and pioneer single-incision sleeve surgery—advancing a less invasive approach to metabolic and bariatric surgery.
That commitment continues today: he was the first surgeon in the world to use Moon Surgical’s Maestro AI system in an ambulatory surgery center, bringing a new chapter of surgical innovation to the outpatient setting.
