My name is Trina. I’m from Austin Texas. I had the gastric bypass surgery and I have lost 75 pounds.
For many years I’ve been battling with up and down weight. I would gain weight, lose weight, then gain it three times the amount that I lost.
I tried different methods. I have taken different medications and things to lose the weight, but once I stopped taking the medication the weight came back on three or four times more. I had some medical issues that were going on which actually made me decide to do the procedure, to have the procedure done. Since I’ve had the procedure done my medical issues have been corrected.
Actually, the day for my pre-op I was like I don’t want to do it. I don’t want to do it. I’m not losing weight now and I don’t think it’s going to help afterwards. Then Dr. Ganta told me, he said we were sitting down and talking, he was like once you have this procedure done you will see some change. Things will be different. His staff was very encouraging. You will see a difference don’t be discouraged. Everything will be good. I took that and I was like you know what I’m going to go ahead and do it. They were so encouraging and they are wonderful people. So I went ahead and did it it was a good decision.
I have noticed that things like exercise are easier for me. It was really hard from the beginning when I could only walk on a treadmill for 30 minutes. Now I can walk on a treadmill for an hour and 30 minutes. So it has helped with those things, as climbing stairs, being more active, being able to get out and do more. It’s helped with that where I’m not as tired as I was before. So it has been a big change.
I would recommend people to Dr. Ganta for this procedure because Dr. Ganta is very knowledgeable of every procedure that he does. He’s very soft spoken. He is very instructional. He let you know exactly what you are going to look forward to. And as a matter of fact I have recommended people to Dr. Ganta who he has actually seen and actually done the procedure on already. So it makes me feel good to know that I am able to lead other people to him knowing that he is an excellent surgeon.
