Susan

Weight Lost: 88.5 Lbs

Procedure: Gastric Bypass

My name is Susan. I’ve currently lost 91 Lbs.

Randall: My name is Randall Cruz from Austin, Texas. I had my procedure December 2nd, 2015 and I’ve lost 170 pounds.

Susan: My name dela Cruz. I’m from Cedar Creek, Texas. I had my procedure back in October of 2015. Currently lost 91 pounds. My weight loss struggles were the vicious cycle of losing five pounds gaining ten and it was just a teeter-totter effect.

Randall: Over the years I’ve always been overweight since I was young. It was a struggle. You had kids that bullied you and made fun of you and this was probably one of the best choices I made. I was just too overweight, high colestrol, my health was going downhill. My wife talked about it and she’s like let’s do it together and that’s what we did. She had hers October of 2015. I have mine’s December of 2015. It’s changed my life around. Yes I was scared at first. It was something I never had a major operation or procedure like that. The staff here asserted me that everything was going to be fine and it was. Here I am sitting 170 pounds lighter.

Susan: Since October of 2015 my lifestyle has changed 100%. I’m no longer diabetic. I’m no longer on cholesterol medication. I’m no longer on high blood pressure medication. I’m able to run around with the dogs actually take them for a walk. I actually can shop in the smaller women’s section. It’s just a big improvement in our life overall. When people say well how did you lose the weight or how did you know you took the easy way out by all means it’s not. It’s a daily struggle but it’s very worth it. The only regret that I have about gastric bypasses that I did do it sooner. I would recommend Dr. Ganta for this procedure because he is highly qualified for one. He knows exactly what he’s doing. He’s the best in his field. I did research on other physicians and they just didn’t have what I was looking for. He’s honest. He’s not going to candy-coat anything. He’s just going to tell you how it is and that’s just how it is and he doesn’t portray himself to be a miracle man. He tells you that you’re going to have to do your homework and it’s not just an option just to have surgery and that’s it. He tells you the specifics of what needs to be done and how to maintain.

My life has been expanded because I actually had one foot in the grave and one foot out because I’m also a heart patient as well. So knowing that my future grandchildren will be able to know their grandma and I want to be around for a long time. When Raymond and I decided to have this procedure done we were looking at our future down the line growing old together not one dime before the other because we were overweight and poor eating habits and all that other stuff but our quality of life has gone from here to here. Nothing can stop us now.
